Description:

Probiotics are living microorganisms that can have beneficial effects on the host’s health. They include different species of bacteria and yeasts, such as Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium. Lactobacillus acidophilus is a rod-shaped bacterium that naturally occurs in dairy, grain, meat, and fish, as well as in the human and animal intestines, mouths, and vaginas. It protects against unhealthy organisms and helps to maintain a healthy balance of microflora in the gut. Lactobacillus bulgaricus is a non-motile, non-spore-forming bacterium that breaks down lactose and produces lactic acid, which also helps to preserve milk. It is often helpful for people with lactose intolerance. Bifidobacteria are normal inhabitants of the human and animal colon, especially in breast-fed infants. Their morphology is characterized by a “Y”-shaped or bifid appearance, and they lack spore formation ability and catalase enzyme.

Pharmacology:

Probiotics can reduce gastrointestinal pH, antagonize pathogens, and compete with them for binding and receptor sites. They also induce regulatory T cells that act as a break on effector T cells that would otherwise cause inflammation. Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium bifidum enhance the nonspecific immune phagocytic activity of circulating blood granulocytes, which may account for the stimulation of IgA responses in infants infected with rotavirus. Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus bulgaricus, and other lactic acid bacteria have demonstrated antioxidant ability through the chelation of metal ions, scavenging of reactive oxygen species, and reducing activity.

Dosage & Administration:

The recommended dosage is 1 or 2 capsules of probiotics, three times daily, or as directed by a physician.

Contraindications:

The use of probiotics is not advised in patients at risk of opportunistic infections or in those with badly damaged GI tracts.

Side Effects:

No known toxicity or side effects have been reported for this product.

Pregnancy & Lactation:

Probiotics are unlikely to cause harm to the fetus or be transferred into breast milk.

Storage Conditions:

To ensure the highest efficacy of this product, store it below 25ºC in a dry place and away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

Probiotics can help to regenerate the digestive system with good microbes that neutralize harmful ones. They are particularly important for maintaining a healthy gut balance in the face of different factors such as stress, genetic disorders, consumption of high-fat, meat, sugar, chlorine, and fluoride in drinking water, antibiotics, environmental toxins, and many other factors. Good Gut is an effective product for diarrhea, digestive disorders, lactose intolerance, antibiotic-associated illnesses/weaknesses, vaginal infections, and other related illnesses. The probiotics are housed in a vegetable shell to ensure proper protection, and the company strictly maintains a cool chain to preserve efficacy.
