Indication:
1. Management of acidosis in cardiac arrest
2. Management of metabolic acidosis in:
a) Severe renal disease
b) Uncontrolled diabetes
c) Circulatory insufficiency from shock or dehydration
d) Severe primary lactic acidosis
3. Alkalinization of urine
Dosage & Administration:
The usual dose is 300 mg to 2 grams, 1 to 4 times daily.
